Jim Matheson is an honorable man in my estimation, and I believe he has the people of Utah's interests at heart. I believe the same about Scott Howell.
I may disagree with them often, but the biggest problem I see is that a win for Matheson is a vote for Nancy Pelosi, and a win for Howell is a vote for Harry Reid. So how badly do we want to have Pelosi back as the House speaker, and how badly do we want to keep Reid as the Senate majority leader?

I could also say that a vote for any Republican here locally is a vote for the Eagle Forum and a vote for people such as Mike Waddoup, Scott Jenkins and the rest of the ultra conservatives up on our Capitol Hill but I would much rather vote for the More..
So we don't like Pelosi or Reid (somewhat understandable, especially Reid), but we're OK with chronic liars John Boehner and Mitch McConnell as Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader? Perhaps you just want leadership that tells More..
If by voting for local representation we're really voting for radical extremists from their party, then wouldn't a vote for Mia Love really be a vote for John Boehner?
No thanks!
