High school football: Grid Picks Week 2 winner

Paul Putnam of Murray was the Week 2 winner of the Deseret News high school football Grid Picks contest. He was the only contestant who picked 12 of 14 games correctly.

Johnson won a $50 Amazon gift card courtesy of Western River Expeditions.

The prize for the Week 3 winner is a $50 Amazon gift card courtesy of Dave's Bernina.

Amazon gift cards are the prizes all year, including the grand prizes for the top three overall finishers in increments of $150, $100 and $50.

Each entrant's worst week will be dropped for the cumulative total.

The following are the 14 games that readers will try to predict in the Week 3 contest: Box Elder at Bear River, Brighton at Sky View, Fremont at Roy, Highland at Herriman, Manti at Emery, Monticello at Layton Christian, West at Desert Hills, Riverton at Syracuse, Jordan at East, Logan at Bountiful, Mountain Crest at Woods Cross, Murray at Taylorsville, Salem Hills at Juab and Timpview at Lone Peak — which will serve as the tiebreaker game.
