Salt Lake Bees' Garrett Richard promoted to the Los Angeles Angels

The Los Angeles Angels have placed outfielder Peter Bourjos on the 15-day disabled list with a sore right wrist and promoted right-hander Garrett Richards from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Richards will work out of the bullpen. He is 3-2 with a 4.33 ERA in 10 games with the Angels this year, including nine starts.

Bourjos is hitting .227 with three homers and 19 RBIs in 88 games.
