Alta Hawks (0-0) at Timpview Thunderbirds (1-0)
Note: Enticing Week 1 match-up against 5A, 4A powers
About the Hawks: All 11 defensive starters are new, while receivers Ammon Barker and Harrison Handley are two of only three offensive starters returning. Alta had the No. 1 scoring defense in 5A in 2011, and the No. 2 offense, a trend it hopes to continue this year.
About the T-Birds: It's a new era as Cary Whittingham takes over as head coach. The offense is in great hands, however, with the return of QB Jake Lloyd, who threw for over 2,400 yards last year. Dax Raymond should be one of his top WR threats this year.
