Much of the reluctance around allowing athletes to be paid what they're worth may be because once you take that step it becomes blaringly obvious that these professional sports have no relevance to the proper priorities of universities.

I sat back and watched sooo many people make money off of Jimmer in his senior year. The most blatant was people selling swag, which I bought, with Jimmer sayings or slogans on the front in parking lots before games. Guys with duffel bags filled with More..
One thing for sure is the corruption that already exists would become greater. The have's would take all (money and athletes). The have nots would become less. BYU would be part of the last group I would hope.
