SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah officials have confirmed that offensive lineman Marc Pouvave, a 6-foot-4, 336-pound transfer from Southwestern Community College (Calif.), suffered a torn Achilles tendon on Thursday and will be out for the upcoming season. Pouvave was expected to compete for the starting left tackle position when camp opens next week. Percy Taumoelau, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior, currently tops the depth chart at left tackle. Pouvave and redshirt freshman Kala Friel (6-4, 305) shared the No. 2 spot.

Tough luck for him, but the line should be in fine position as long as there are no more injuries. This team has(barring injuries), the makings of an elite team. Speed, strength, and experience at every position. I would imagine we'd be More..

As we well know Chris B, it's a delicate balance between health and injury for any team, especially for the Utes lately. A heel injury is miserable, I've had one and hope this young man can play again.
