Summary

Each year, the Deseret News asks every football coach in the state to vote for the top five teams in their classification. The votes are tallied, and five points are assigned for a first-place vote, four for a second-place vote, etc.

Each year, the Deseret News asks every football coach in the state to vote for the top five teams in their classification. The votes are tallied, and five points are assigned for a first-place vote, four for a second-place vote, etc. The following are the results of those votes (first-place votes indicated in parenthesis):

Class 5A

Team Points '11 Record

1. Bingham (6) 52 9-3

2. Lone Peak (3) 34 14-0

3. Alta (1) 27 9-2

4. Davis 23 5-4

5. Jordan (1) 19 10-3

Others receiving multiple votes: Syracuse, Cottonwood, Fremont.

Class 4A

Team Points '11 Record

1. Logan (8) 59 14-0

2. East (5) 57 12-2

3. Timpview (2) 38 10-3

4. Bountiful 17 8-5

5. Herriman (1) 16 8-4

Others receiving multiple votes: Mountain Crest, Highland, Skyline, Springville, Woods Cross, Olympus.

Class 3A

Team Points '11 Record

1. Hurricane (17) 100 13-0

2. Juan Diego 63 10-2

3. Spanish Fork 43 9-4

4. Stansbury (1) 24 9-2

5. Pine View (1) 23 4-5

1. Hurricane - Reigning 3A Champs, loaded with starters from last year. High scoring offense once again
2. Spanish Fork - Offense almost entirely new, but with a great new head coach, look for them to be a More..

After 4 trips to the finals,good to see Hurricane getting the early props. what happened to all the love for PV no matter how they do. I thought it was a lock every year. Go TIGERS.
