'Bachlorette' participant turns down overnight date using Book of Mormon phrase

"One F Jef" Holm on "The Bachelorette" may claim not to be "half Mormon" or even "full Mormon," but he certainly can quote the Book of Mormon.

On last night's episode of "The Bachelorett," Jef Holm told bachelorette Emily Maynard he could not accept her invitation to spend the night. Holm, who was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but is no longer practicing the faith, quoted a phrase from the book of Alma in his response.

"One F Jef" Holm on The Bachelorette may claim not to be "half Mormon" or even "full Mormon," but he certainly can quote the Book of Mormon. In a previous post, I wrote about the always awkward "overnight date" card presentation when Emily handed the card to Jef and coyly asked, "What do you think?"

Hahaha Scientist. Yeah that's so true. How many things about the church or JS are ignored and shrugged off despite overwhelming evidence and common sense. Yet, very weird things are totally embraced in an effort to follow the old saying:

Personally, I think Shakespeare's quote is likely from Job in the Bible. Lehi, the Book of Mormon prophet would have been familiar with those words and likely used them.
