WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Webb Simpson's 9-under total has held up as golfers finished the rain-delayed second round of the Greenbrier Classic early Saturday.
Tiger Woods finished his round Friday at par for the tournament, missing the cut by a stroke.
Woods, who won last week at Congressional, missed a cut for only the ninth time in his PGA career.
The second round Friday was delayed by rain and later suspended because of darkness. A dozen golfers completed their rounds Saturday morning and 64 advanced to the third round.
Simpson shot a 4-under 66 Friday. He has a one-stroke lead over five others. One of them, Martin Flores, finished with a 68 on Saturday.
Among those making the cut was 62-year-old Tom Watson, the pro emeritus at The Greenbrier resort. He's at 2 under.
