16 LDS athletes qualify for Olympics

The 2012 Olympic Games will open in London in about three weeks. At least 16 athletes who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have qualified to compete.

United States: John Nunn, racewalking; Tumua Anae, water polo; Sarah Robles, weightlifting; Breeja Larson, swimming; Jake Gibb, beach volleyball; Ryan Millar, Rich Lambourne and Russell Holmes, volleyball; Arielle Martin, women's BMX; Jillian Camarena-Williams, shot put

New Zealand: Valerie Adams, shot put, and Hayley Palmer, swimming

Venezuela: Maria Gabriela Martinez Gascon and Johanna Fuenmayor, fencing

Bolivia: Andrew Rutherfurd, swimming

Cook Islands: Celeste Brown, swimming
