SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Eric Sogard delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the tenth inning to give the Sacramento River Cats a 1-0 victory over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night.
Adam Rosales led off the tenth with a single to center off of Salt Lake reliever Ryan Brasier and was sacrificed to second by Jermaine Mitchell. Sogard then lined a 1-0 pitch from Brasier (2-1) down the left field line to bring home Rosales with the winning run.
Salt Lake starter Matt Shoemaker tossed eight scoreless innings with five strikeouts and two walks, while allowing six hits.
Doug Deeds led Salt Lake with two hits, as the Bees had their five game winning streak come to an end.

In short: Both teams got stellar pitching and defense, not allowing a single run until Eric Sogard singled to score Adam Rosales in the bottom of the 10th inning.
