Tacoma Rainiers 7, Salt Lake Bees 3
In short: Tacoma jumped out to an early four-run lead in the third inning with help from a Luis Rodriguez double and Luis Antonio Jimenez two-run homer. Salt Lake's Efren Navarro smacked a two-run single in the sixth to bring the Bees within one run, but things unraveled in the top of the ninth when the Rainiers scored for three runs on four hits to seal the victory.
Bees manager Keith Johnson's take: "Tonight we made a crucial mental mistake that's uncharacteristic of our club right now."
Record: 35-31
