With humility and hard work, Durant chases title

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Durant is the kind of superstar who doesn't crave the spotlight.

He filmed a movie, then said it was the kind of thing he probably wouldn't do again. For one whole postseason, he toted a backpack to the podium to make his postgame comments. About the biggest controversy he has created during a run to the NBA finals was whether he hugged his mom too early to celebrate the accomplishment.

For all the success Durant has had — winning three straight scoring titles — he still maintains his humility. After every game, win or lose, he talks about the need to keep working and getting better.

All that hard work may be about to pay off with his ultimate goal within reach: an NBA championship.
