Several more local baseball prospects from the college ranks were selected on the final day of the Major League Baseball draft on Wednesday.
University of Utah shortstop James Brooks was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 20th round (the 624th overall selection), and Southern Utah pitcher Chase Rezac was chosen by the Cincinnati Reds in the 26th round (802nd overall).
BYU pitcher Christopher Capper was taken in the 26th round (813th overall) by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and his BYU teammate, pitcher Austin Hall, went to the Milwaukee Brewers in the 33rd round (1,025th overall).
