MORGAN — Judge's track teams didn't factor in the team races at the Morgan "Pocket Change" Invitational on Saturday, but one of its sprinters certainly did.
Christian Weidle won both the 100 and 200 meters, with his 100 time of 11.06 ranking in the top six in Utah this year and his 200 time of 22.03 ranking in the top three.
He was one of several double winners in the 15-team track meet in Morgan.
Logan's Jerrell Mock won both the 800 and 1,600 meters, Weber's Mitch Mordaunt won both hurdles races, while Duchesne's Max Lewis won both the shot put and discus.
Durant's exploits helped Weber's boys cruise to the team title with 142 points, followed in second by North Summit with 60 points and Duchesne with 52 points.
Weber's girls prevailed as well, but it was a tight race as the Warriors finished with 123 points, followed closely by Morgan with 121 points and Bear River with 90.
Mykah Heaton was Weber's only individual winner on Saturday, but they were fantastic performances. Her 18'00 jump in the long jump is the best mark in Utah this year, and her 45.30 time in the 300 hurdles is the second best time this year.
Other double winners for the girls were Bear River's Kaitlyn Wilcox in the 200 and 400 meters and Morgan's Kassie Nagel in the shot put and discus.
Also of note was a 12.75 time in the 100 meters from North Summit's Samantha Nicholes, the 10th fastest time in the state this year.
