Candace Workman moved on in her search for third by toppling Nicole Woody of the Gator Wrestling Club. Workman was completely overwhelming winning 2-0 (4-0, 6-0 TF).

Vernal native and member of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club Phil Keddy dropped his consolation semi-final match at the US Olympic Wrestling Trails to Raymond Jordan of Sunkist Athletic Clubt, 2-1 (1-0, 0-6, 0-1).

With match tied at one period apiece, Keddy and Jordan tangled up and went off the mat. Keddy thought he had earned the one-point shove-off, but officials had given the point to Jordan. It was not until the closing seconds Keddy realized he was behind and he was unable to get in to score any point.

Centerville resident Ben Kjar's charge at the Olympic Trials came to an end with Kjar finishing 4th. In his final match in the consolation finals, Kjar lost 2-1 (3-0, 0-1, 0-1) to Obe Blanc of the Gator Wrestling Club.

Kjar dominated the opening period picking up an early three-point throw. In the second and third periods, Blanc slowed down the pace and snuck out with back-to-back 1-0 period wins to take the match.
