The Jazz won their fifth straight of what would eventually be seven in a row to close the season and prepare for the playoffs as a No. 2 seed with a 130-98 thrashing of the Houston Rockets. For the second game in a row the Jazz won by more than 30 points and every Jazz player found the basket. Karl Malone led six players in double figures with 29 points while Jeff Malone added 25.
