MINNEAPOLIS — Ricky Rubio says he is not sure if his surgically repaired left knee will be ready in time for training camp with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Rubio spoke to reporters Tuesday about his rehabilitation from the torn anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments his left knee that cut short a promising season for the rookie point guard from Spain and the up-and-coming Timberwolves. They were in eighth place in the Western Conference and in line for a playoff spot right before he was hurt at the end of a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers March 9. They are 4-13 since his injury.
Rubio has a follow-up exam in a month with the specialist who performed his surgery March 21.
