COOPER HALL, Wasatch, soccer: Hall has allowed just one goal in the team's 10 victories. His incredible performance in the net has been key to the Wasps' undefeated record and lopsided victories.

"At practice, he hates to get beat," head coach Dawain Wheatley said of Hall's work ethic. "He makes unbelievable saves all the time (at practice) and he's going up against really good players."

The senior is gaining recognition for his work in the net as he not only leads Class 3A but boasts the greatest number of shutouts in the state — earning nine in just 10 games.

Hall picked up his ninth on April 4 as the Wasps blanked Union, 8-0. The senior tied the school record of 12 shutouts in the 2011 season and is well on his way to beating it in 2012.

He was the starting goalkeeper for last year's 3A state championship team (19-1), earning first team All-State honors from both the Deseret News and the Salt Lake Tribune.

The go-getter plans on playing college soccer but is currently undecided as to where he'll go. "In my opinion, Cooper is Division I material," Wheatley said. "He's probably one of the best goalkeepers, if not the best goalkeeper, in the state. His training and work ethic are excellent."

JENA GLAZIER, Rowland Hall-St. Mark's, softball: It is easy to be positive when everything goes well. But maintaining a determined and inspiring demeanor when your team struggles just to stay in games is something special.

Senior Jena Glazier is helping the Rowland Hall softball team by putting the needs of the squad ahead of her own desires.

"She is a team captain and a super one," said head coach Kathy Howa. "She has stepped up to pitch after three years as a catcher after our pitcher quit. She is all about what is best for the team."

Glazier leads the team in offense, and improves every game at pitcher.

"Her attitude is among the best I have coached, and her community service ambitions are incredible."

She works just as hard in the classroom and plans to attend culinary school after graduation.
