Joy Green Olson1928 ~ 2012Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend returned home to her Heavenly Father on April 6, 2012. Loving daughter of Marion and Mariam Green, born and raised in American Fork, Utah. Joy grew up with a great love of music and taught piano lessons for many years. She served in various ward and stake callings including ward organist. She graduated from American Fork High school, attended BYU and the University of Utah. There she met her eternal companion, Doyle Lynn Olson and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Joy loved always serving others, we never heard a complaint from Mom, she always had a listening ear and saw the best in everyone. Mom loved family traditions and family get togethers, in fact people would just come to sample her homemade chili on Halloween. Joy is survived by Doyle L. Olson, and her four children Duff, David, Peggy Hodgdon, and Mike, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and brother Jesse Green. Preceded in death by her daughter Susan Goodwin, her siblings David, Clayton, Vivian, Helen, Vera, and Dalin. She was adored by her nurses and staff at Legacy including Doctor Stevens. They would all describe her as an angel on earth. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 10th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Olympus 4th ward located at 2675 East 4430 South. Friends and Family may pay tribute to Joy on Monday night from 6:00-8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. and Tuesday from 12:00-12:45 PM at the ward.
