Diggins and Sims are familiar foes

"She always talks about how she can pass better than me," Sims said, laughing. "We kind of have a competition. She talks about how she scores a lot and how she didn't have to play any defense and we just kind of go head-to-head about what she can and what she can't do.

"She always talks about what she won in high school and her path through college but she really doesn't talk about it a lot."

But behind closed practice doors, Mulkey also talks a pretty big game.

"She tells me all the time she could beat me one-on-one and that she could take me to the hole and that she could do all this kind of stuff," Sims said. "I just tell her, 'Your days are over, you don't do that anymore'. We joke around about crazy stuff, but coach is always going to talk noise. She's going to always talk noise to me, BG (Brittney Griner) and everybody, and we get a kick out of it. She always tells BG she can take her to the hole, too."
