Palm Sunday services feature sermon, singer

OREM — Rev. Kevin Miller will speak on "As it was Already Late" from Mark 11: 1-11, and "American Idol" finalist Kalli Georgellis will be featured soloist during Palm Sunday worship services at Orem Community Church Sunday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m.

Holy week observed at Murray baptist

Provo church sets Easter services

PROVO — Calvary City on a Hill Church in Provo is hosting several special Easter season observances, including: Palm Sunday "Triumphal Entry" service featuring a real donkey on Sunday, April 1, at 11 a.m.; the "Nail it to the Cross" Good Friday service on Friday, April 6, at 7 p.m.; Easter cookie and egg hunt on Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m.; and the Easter morning service on April 8 at 11 a.m. The church is located in the old Provo Theater building at 105 E. 100 North in Provo. SALT LAKE CITY — A series of special Easter services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, including: the Procession of the Palms, Passion Gospel and Holy Eucharist on Sunday, April 1, at 8, 9:15 and 11:15 a.m.; "Women of Passion" Stations of the Cross on Thursday, April 5, at 10 a.m.; footwashing, Holy Eucharist, Agape Meal and Nightwatch on Thursday, April 5, at 6 p.m.; prayers, Veneration of the Cross, Reserve Sacrament Communion on Friday, April 6, at noon and 6 p.m.; a simple, brief service of scripture and prayer on Saturday, April 7, at 9 a.m.; and Easter Vigil on Sunday, April 8, at 5:30, 8 and 10 a.m. The church is located at 1710 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City. Holy Week observed with special services

SALT LAKE CITY — Special Holy Week services will be observed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church this week, including: a dramatic reading of the Passion according to Mark's Gospel during services Sunday, April 1, at 8:45 and 11 a.m.; remembrance of the Last Supper on Thursday, April 5, at 7 p.m.; a dramatic "tenebrae" service on Friday, April 6, at 8 p.m.; and Easter serives on Sunday, April 8, at 7, 8:45 and 11 a.m. The church is located at 2500 E. 3900 South.

'Poison Peddlers' explored in sermon

BRIGHAM CITY — Pastor Steve Barsuhn will present part two of his examination of "The Peril of Poison Peddlers" during his sermon on Sunday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Bible Church.

The sermon will be based on 2 Peter 2: 1-9 and examines the effect of false teachers.

Sunday school is held at 9:30 a.m. and will feature study of the book of Joshua.
