Zoe FowlesMay 17, 1930 ~ March 19, 2012Anna Zoe Porter Fowles, "Grandma Zoe", dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on March 19, 2012 surrounded by her family. Zoe was born May 17, 1930 in Sutherland, Utah to Leslie and Romania Hansen Porter. She was the sixth of seven children. She enjoyed softball, music, gardening and learning. Zoe supported her grandchildren in various activities. She loved and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Zoe taught elementary school in the Millard School District for 27 years. She served in various positions in her church. Zoe had a deep and abiding faith in her Savior and loved studying the gospel. She served and LDS mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.Zoe married Jack William Fowles in the Manti LDS Temple on November 16, 1951. They raised their family in Delta where they were life long residents.Survived by her children: Paul (Lenore) of Sutherland; Elizabeth Shepherd of Spanish Fork; Dean (Deb) of Delta; David (Kris) of Mesquite, NV; Diane (Jeff) George of Sutherland; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ken (JuVene) Porter of Sutherland; and Jim (Virginia) Porter of Delta; brother and sisters-in-law: Pat (Bob) Fife; Richard (Rosalyn) Fowles; Heather Fowles; Ella Porter; Dawn Porter; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband: Jack William Fowles; son: Doug; grandchildren: Jesse William Fowles, Dani Fowles Stevens; brothers: Clair, Ned, and Rodney Porter, sister: Virginia Lyman.Funeral: Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at Sutherland LDS Chapel. Friends call Wednesday, March 21 at the Sutherland Church from 7-9 p.m., and prior to services, 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Sutherland Cemetery.
