Raymond Dee DunnWe love you Dad-Grandpa!Raymond Dee Dunn, 88, of Springville, Utah, passed away March 1, 2012 in Provo, Utah. Raymond was the seventh of ten children born to William "Ed" and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Packard Dunn. He was born September 20, 1923 and lived most of his life in Springville. He received his high school diploma while serving during World War II in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic based in Maui, Hawaii. He married his sweetheart Shirley Van Wagoner, February 24, 1949 in Provo; with the marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1957. They celebrated over 51 years of marriage. Raymond loved the outdoors; hiking, fishing, and especially hunting. He retired from Geneva Steel after 34 yrs. of service. He was a high priest in the L.D.S. Church living the gospel through his example and service.He is survived by his six children: Michael (Ella Bird) of Nephi; Gregory (Sue Beecher) of Lyman, WY; John Phillip (Dawn Wheeler) of Provo; Laura Bodrero (Travis) and Karalyn Wood (Steven) of West Jordan; and Susan Chesnut (Lynn) of Provo. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; his brother Bill Dunn of Sonoma, CA; and sister Norma Jean Anderson (Andy) of Brigham City. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters and brothers: Juanita, Elmer, LuRean, Francis, Eva, Norman, Beverly; and life-long friend Monte Gustin. Friends and family are invited to attend viewings on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah and Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 9:30-10:45 at the Springville Third Ward, 355 E. Center; with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military rites will be held at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East.
