Shirley Hobson Hyde1920 ~ 2012In loving memory of our dear mother, Shirley Hobson Hyde, who passed away February 28, 2012 in Orem, Utah. Born August 3, 1920 in Washington, D.C. to Ivan and Anna Hobson. She married Dean Hyde in the Salt Lake Temple on January 5, 1944.A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many positions on Stake and Ward levels. She served an LDS mission in Social Services in Fresno, California. Shirley was always a faithful servant of the Lord. She filled her life in the service of others. When her children asked what she wanted for Christmas or her birthday, she would answer, "All I want is love at home". She left a wonderful legacy to all of her family members. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband; and her sons, Brent (Paula) and Scott (Melanie). Survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Rob), Laurel (Jess) and Marlene; son, David (Michelle); 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., at the Salt Lake 14th Ward, 142 West 200 North, where friends and family may visit Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and from 1:45 to 2:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Graveside services will be held March 6, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at the Redbank Cemetery in Clovis, California, 11600 East Shaw Avenue.
