Every voter in the great state of Utah (especially Republicans) should have an opportunity to read Thomas Friedman's column "Nation needs a Republican Party that is coherent" (Feb. 14). In my opinion he tells it like it is about what is wrong with the Republican Party.
I agree with Friedman when he says, "We urgently need a coherent Republican opposition that is offering constructive conservative proposals on the key issues and is ready for strategic compromises to advance its interest and those of the country." In my opinion the Republican Party has been hijacked by radicals with their "no-compromise" attitude.
Our Founding Fathers worked long and hard in hot, stuffy rooms, with much compromising, to come up with our Constitution and create the great country we now enjoy. We don't need any more radicals in office holding up the process of our government.
