STARKE, Fla. — A Florida man scheduled to die for the rape and murder of a St. Petersburg mother has finished his final meeting with his wife and his last meal
Florida State Prison officials say Robert Brian Waterhouse met for two hours Wednesday with his wife. He also ate a final meal of two pork chops, two eggs, toast, cherry pie, butter pecan ice cream, orange juice and milk. He is scheduled to die at 6 p.m. Eastern.
The 65-year-old Waterhouse has been on death row for the 1980 rape and murder of 29-year-old Deborah Kammerer.
He was previously convicted of the 1966 murder of an elderly Long Island, N.Y., woman during a burglary. He was sentenced to life but paroled after eight years.
