LOGAN — Logan police may soon be back on parking enforcement patrol.
The Herald Journal of Logan reports police Chief Gary Jensen is recommending the city cancel its contract with a Denver-based parking enforcement company.
Jensen tells the Logan Municipal Council the company's performance is good, but says city staff deal with most citizen complaints.
Jensen says local control of enforcement might be better for city residents. He says citizen complaints suggest some feel "picked on" by the out-of-town agency.
Parking violations generate up to $120,000 annually in revenue for Logan.
