Motorcycle accident injuries fatal for Cedar City man

A Cedar City man died Sunday from head injuries he sustained in a weekend motorcycle rollover accident.Killed was:

Dennis R. Robinson, 47, Cedar City.

Robinson was not wearing a helmet when he crashed Saturday on U-95 northwest of Natural Bridges National Monument, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Haywood.

Robinson was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., following the 2 p.m. accident.

Police arrest W.V. man after 3200 West chase

WEST VALLEY CITY -- Police chased a 22-year-old man in a stolen car for about three minutes Sunday morning before the driver plowed across one front yard, into the garage of another home and then struck the foundation of a third house.

The man was arrested and booked in Salt Lake County jail for investigation of felony fleeing and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The chase occurred around 10:33 a.m. when a police officer spotted the vehicle, which was reported as stolen. Police chased the driver along 3200 West and Brookway Drive (2770 South).

West Valley police Lt. Miles Simonsen said the suspect was unhurt and that no one was injured in the homes. The garage on the second house sustained about $3,000 in damage, he said.

2 arrested after W.V. man is thrown through window

WEST VALLEY CITY -- A West Valley man suffered extensive cuts when he was thrown through a plate glass window early Sunday at the Press Box Lounge, 3500 S. 1980 West.

The 21-year-old West Valley man was initially listed in critical condition following the 12:50 a.m. incident but was released from a local hospital later Sunday.

West Valley police Lt. Miles Simonsen said Miller was beaten, thrown through the window and dragged back through the window by two Salt Lake men who were arrested and booked in the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault and criminal mischief. The fight apparently concerned a game of pool, Simonsen said.

Delta woman is charged with arson after motel fire

A Delta woman has been charged with felony arson for allegedly starting a blaze that caused $50,000 in damage to a Delta motel.
