ROY — Police have arrested the owner of a home where human remains were uncovered this week.

Sarah Munn, 31, of Roy was booked into the Weber County Jail for investigation of obstruction of justice, Roy Police Chief Greg Whinham said.

Police had been digging in the backyard of Munn's home for three days when they found a body on Thursday. Munn was absent during the dig but police were able to locate her Thursday night and arrested her after she allegedly made a series of false statements and failed to cooperate, Whinham said.

The dig was part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Victor Flores, who was last seen in Layton on May 10. Whinham said the body was to be removed from the scene Friday for examination and an identification based on dental records could be made next week.

Roy police assisted Layton officials with the dig as part of their investigation into Flores' whereabouts, but until more is known about the body, Whinham said the remains will be treated as an unrelated case.

"Until we get a totally firm identification and a cause of death, we're treating it like a homicide," Whinham said.

Whinham said police are questioning Flores' known associates. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Roy City Police Department.
