Blue roundup: Cougars a No. 13 seed?

CBSSports.com's Jerry Palm has BYU a No. 13 seed in his latest NCAA Tournament projections.

Palm has the Cougars facing No. 13 Colorado State in a first-round matchup in Dayton.

Gonzaga knocked off No. 18 Saint Mary's in Spokane Thursday night, 73-59, keeping the Bulldogs' hopes alive for a 12th consecutive West Coast Conference championship.

The Gaels (22-3, 11-1) dropped their first league game. Gonzaga (19-4, 9-2) remains in second place, just ahead of BYU (20-6, 8-3). The Cougars and Bulldogs meet in Spokane on Feb. 23.

Former BYU star Jimmer Fredette, the No. 10 pick overall in last summer's NBA draft, is compared to the No. 2 selection, Derrick Williams.

Finally, the BYU women's team routed No. 19 Gonzaga Thursday night at the Marriott Center.
