Kirby Harris put on a show Wednesday night in Stansbury, scoring 31 points and hitting five shots from downtown to help lead the Stallions to a 69-45 win over Bear River.

Jake Witkowski added 11 points and Brek Bentley scored 10 for the Stallions. Wade Miller dropped in 13 for the Bears.

High-scoring Harris launched the Stallions off to a quick start, scoring 11 first quarter points, and helping the Stallions build a 20-8 lead at the end of the first. By halftime he had 19 points and the Stallions led 36-23.

The Stallions pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Bear River by 12 points. Harris was on fire all night, and the Stallions forced Wade Miller to be the only guy to impact Bear River's game. Miller came into the game averaging 17 points a contest.

With one more win, the Stallions earn a spot in the State Tournament. The Stallions will have to face Ben Lomond and Morgan – the two best teams in Region 11— for their final two games. It'll be a tough task, but, luckily for the Stallions, they will get to play at home for both games.

Bear River has one more game remaining against a struggling Tooele squad. Depending on how they play against Tooele, and how Stansbury finishes, they may get a spot in the State Tournament, too.

With the win, Stansbury moves to 9-10 overall and 5-5 in Region 11 play. Bear River drops to 6-14 and 5-6 in Region 11.
