MIDVALE — A Midvale dentist is offering free emergency dental treatment to help those dealing with difficult economic times.
Dr. Ryan McNeil, of Midvale Family Dental on 6895 S. 900 East suite B, will offer free dental treatments on Feb. 23 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Dr. McNeil said he was inspired to produce this community effort after reading a report in the New York Times about how an increasing number of Americans are having to forgo dental care because they have no insurance and therefore unable to afford the cost of a visit to the dentist.
“I would like to do my part as a dentist to help and hope other health care providers would join me and organize a similar effort in their community to help keep our fellow Americans healthy,” Dr. McNeil said in a prepared statement.
The service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
