If you want to be part of the 1 percent, your best bet is to study pre-med, according to Robert Gabeloff of the New York Times. Using data from the Census Bureau’s 2010 American Community Survey, he found that the majors that give provide the best opportunity for reaching the 1 percent are pre-med, economics, biochemistry, zoology and biology.
Fully almost 12 percent of the one percent take pre-med. Another 8 percent study economics. Between 6 and 7 percent study biochemistry, zoology and biology.
