The power of the Internet manifests in so many ways, but one of the nicest services is the ability to ask questions to experts who then turn around and answer with the best of their ability. You likely use this method while online shopping or with help with technical problems, but did you know you could do it with church questions? I’ll be the one to answer that.

History answers: I just recently discovered the “Ask a Librarian” feature at the Church History Library. This handy service “allows you to submit questions to our archivists and librarians, who will attempt to provide you with helpful information about where you might be able to find information on the subject of your question.” Wow! They also are getting a nice database that is growing all the time (as more questions are asked) that you can also search through. Check it out, put in a term to define or ask a question!

Missionary answers: Hopefully you know about the Mormon.org “Chat with Us” feature that you can use (or refer to your friends) to chat with the missionaries in real time. It's a brightly colored button that is easy to find and easier to click on the Mormon.org site. And you don’t even have to be a nonmember to use it. Say you have a question regarding how to introduce the gospel to an acquaintance. I bet they have a great answer for that one.

LDS answers: “Do you have an LDS-related question?” asks this site, LDS FAQ, hosted by BYU Studies. They tout that their database includes:

Answers to over 400 LDS-related questions.

Concise answers provided in few paragraphs.

All answers supported with references.

Related questions linked to one another.

An easy-to-use search function.

Now let me find answers in other sites throughout the Bloggernacle:

Power pick: Sometimes the best explanations come from the smallest sources. Case in point, this delightful video rendering of the scripture story of “Nephi and the Brass Plates” as told via Lego animation! Learn why it was important for Nephi to go get the brass plates and how he accomplished it! And then share it with your children.
