SALT LAKE CITY — It isn't just Jimmertime at EnergySolutions Arena.
Sure, the former BYU standout has given a show for his loyal supporters — and loud detractors — with 10 first-half points. Those included two treys and a crossover drive that left three Utah Jazz defenders in his wake.
But fellow Kings DeMarcus Cousins (16 points) and Jason Thompson (12 points) also had strong showings in helping the visitors keep it close midway through this one in which the Jazz hold a 49-47 lead.
Gordon Hayward leads Utah with 12 points — more than he's had in a game since the Jazz won in Denver two weeks ago.
Al Jefferson and C.J. Miles each have eight points, and Paul Millsap has 10 rebounds and six points.
Jazz starting guard Raja Bell will not play in the second half after straining his right adductor.
Both teams are in desperate need of a win. The Jazz (10-7) have lost three of four and two straight, while the Kings (6-13) have dropped three straight.
