Game day dishes: Easy and delicious taco soup

Choose your favorite nacho or corn chips with this delicious taco soup and delight your tastebuds.

When company is soon to arrive, don't be stuck in the kitchen. A quick batch of taco soup is sure to please.

This easy taco soup can be made with endless variations.

Meatless Taco Soup

15-ounce can of tomatoes

15-ounce can of corn

15-ounce can of kidney beans (light or dark)

1/3 cup ketchup (optional)

1 medium to large onion (cut up)

1/2 package of taco seasoning mix

Combine ingredients in sauce pan and simmer for about 20 minutes or until onions are done.

Fill single serving bowl with soup. Include corn chips, tortilla chips or nacho chips on the side.

Extra garnishes include grated cheese on the bowl of soup and adding a tablespoon of salsa.

For soup with meat, brown one half to one pound of ground beef, drain the grease off and add meat to soup ingredients. Then simmer until onions are done.

Steak or chicken cut into small pieces and browned may be used in place of ground beef.

The recipe can be doubled or tripled as needed.
