The blogs seemingly flowed with amazing resources this week.

For instance, have you seen the “Understanding Mormonism YouTube Channel” highlighted by Larry Richman? ThatMormonBoy, who created the videos, uses social media to testify as well as explore some questions non-members may ask about the church including “Blacks and the Priesthood,” “The Mountain Meadows Massacre” and “What Mormons Believe about Jesus.” He makes it clear that these are his own ideas and explanations, and I’m just really impressed with his initiative as well as his desire to help others understand The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. How he ends his videos is touching: “I hope this video helps somebody.”

OK, I’ve featured a lot of these links, but I can’t pass up a great list like this of “LDS Resource Links.” Go through each one and make sure you’ve seen them all. Or like this blogger, maybe you can use it for a lesson plan sometime to teach about many of the LDS resources we can find online.

Do you want to become a better genealogist? Then you need this handy little list of “Five Steps to Doing Genealogy Research Like a Pro,” courtesy of the Ancestry.com blog:

1. What do I want to know?

2. What do I already know?

3. How do I know it?

4. Where could I possibly find what I want to know?

5. Do the records exist? If so, where?

What a great start. Check out all the family history advice.

Speaking of genealogy, being a blog friend of the Mormon Life Hacker could pay off if you were planning on heading to RootsTech, as there is a coupon code. Plus they discuss the pros of attending RootsTech under the section “Should YOU Go to RootsTech?” Here is their answer: “You definitely don’t have to be a family historian to attend… So if you’re a developer, you should go; if you’re interested in family history in the least, you should go; if you just like to learn about all the latest and greatest in tech, you should go; or even if you live on the Wasatch front and want to rub shoulders with great people and learn about all kinds of new possibilities, yes, you should go!” Click in to learn more and to find the coupon code for a registration discount.
