MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — An 18-year-old Utah State University student was killed Saturday, in an automobile accident involving three vehicles.
Taylor Sauer, an elementary education major from Caldwell, Idaho, was driving west sometime before 9 p.m. when her vehicle impacted the rear of a tanker trailer driving uphill. She was then struck by another vehicle, according to Idaho State Police. Sauer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries. Police said everyone involved in the crash was wearing seat belts.
