WELLINGTON, Carbon County — Police are investigating reports of an aggravated rape early Friday morning.
The victim told police the rape occurred in Wellington. After escaping from the alleged attacker, the victim drove to Price and called police, according to a news release from the Wellington Police Department.
The victim described the alleged attacker as a white man between the ages of 18 and 26 years old, from 5-foot-6 to 5-10, with brown hair and a heavy-set build, police said.
Wellington police are being assisted in the investigation by the Carbon County Sheriff's Office, the Price and Helper police departments and Adult Probation and Parole.
Police have asked that anyone with information related to the incident call dispatchers at 435-637-0893.
