CLEARFIELD — A 35-year-old Layton man was injured during an apparent drive-by shooting at an apartment complex Friday night.
About 11:30 p.m., police responded to reports that a man had been shot at the Heather Estates Apartments, 25 E. 1800 South. The man had entered the apartment where he was visiting friends and told them he had been shot, police said.
Witnesses told police they heard three gunshots and saw a silver, four-door vehicle — possibly a Lincoln — speeding away from the scene, as well as three men fleeing on foot.
The victim, Darrell Morris was transported to Ogden Regional Medial Center, where his condition was unknown Sunday.
Clearfield police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 801-525-2806.
