CEDAR CITY — SkyWest Airlines has begun a new jet service between Cedar City and Salt Lake City.
The twice-daily Delta Air Lines flights operated by SkyWest Airlines began service on Wednesday. The larger jet aircraft is projected to reduce travel time and provide added comfort for passengers, according to a release.
“We’re pleased to bring jet service to Cedar City travelers," said Mike Thompson, SkyWest Airlines vice president of market development. "Now it’s up to the community to build and sustain demand for its long-term success.”
The new service will employ a 50-passenger Bombardier-manufactured Canadair Regional Jet 200. Each aircraft is equipped with the latest technology and designed to be one of the most comfortable airliners in its class, the release said.
