BOULDER, Colo. — The Utah basketball team's Pac-12 opener against Colorado doesn't look much different than previous games this year, as the Utes find themselves in a big hole after 20 minutes of action.
The Utes trail the Buffaloes 27-11 af halftime in playing perhaps the most inept half of offensive basketball in Utah history.
Utah made just 5 of 25 shots from the field, including 1 of 11 from 3-point range.
The Utes came out in a zone defense and dared the Buffaloes, not a great 3-point shooting team, to shoot 3-pointers. The Buffaloes put up 15 in the first half, nearly as many as they attempt in a game and made six.
Spencer Dinwiddie scored 16 first-half points, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range to lead Colorado.
Utah got seven points from Dijon Farr and two apiece from Jason Washburn and Anthony Odunsi.
