WEST JORDAN — Police say a Herriman refunded nearly $48,000 worth of his employer's merchandise to personal debit card accounts.
Cameron Norris Fox, 24, identified himself on the phone as his boss when the credit card processing company called to check on suspicious refunds during the first part of November, according to charges filed Monday in 3rd District Court.
After the real boss spoke with the same credit card processing representative, the boss tallied $47,855 in credits from the company to two accounts belonging to Fox, his employee.
The charges say Fox admitted to processing refunds to himself for approximately one year, posing as his boss and giving the credit card processing company his boss' Ssocial Security number.
Fox is charged with single counts of theft by deception and communications fraud, both second-degree felonies. A warrant has been issued for Fox's arrest, with bail set at $20,000.
