Utah coach Kyle Whittingham and his $525,000 pay raise this season are mentioned in a USA Today report.
Athletics director Chris Hill said the bump in pay (to $1.7 million per year) had to do with the Utes' move from the Mountain West to the Pac-12.
"We felt that as we made that move, we had to take people who do a good job and get them at least somewhat in the middle of the league," Hill told the newspaper.

This is a great reward for his loyalty. Lots of higher paying jobs were orçares to coach whit, but why leave when your school is as loyalty to you as you are to them.
Congrats to coach whit, we hope you stick with us for a long time!
Well, I don't think anyone can complain about a $525,000 raise. Most pepole would be happy to make $525,000, let alone get a raise in that amount. I'd be happy with a $5000 raise. That said, it is the nature of the beast and Wittingham deserves it as More..
He could have made more at Tennessee. Glad he stayed here in Utah. He has brought a lot of money to the University. For the amount of revenue he has helped and will help the athletic program bring in, no one can complain about his salary being too More..
