Florida linebacker decommits from BYU, according to rivals.com

According to a report from rivals.com, BYU linebacker commit Bobby Wolford decommitted from the program last night. He opted to commit to Boston College and will sign with the school in February.

Wolford is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound middle linebacker from Bishop Kenny High in Jacksonville, Fla. He cited the great distance from his home to BYU as being one of the primary reasons for the change in plan.

Wolford committed to BYU when he attended the team's junior day in early June. Wolford is a devout Catholic and cited BYU's unique religious environment that emphasizes an honor code as being the primary reason for his commit.

BYU had seven players committed for 2012 who could potentially play linebacker for the school. Those players include Butch Pau'u and Jherremya Leuta-Douyere from Anaheim, Calif.; Philllip Amone from Orlando, Fla.; Sawyer Powell from Richland, Wash.; Troy Hinds from Kaysville, and Rhett Sandlin from Sandy.
