Utah State golf: Chanse Godderidge and Tanner Jensen tied for 44th at Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY — Utah State’s Chanse Godderidge and Tanner Jenson are both currently tied for 44th place at 6-over 150 after the first two rounds of the Cal State Northridge-hosted Bill Cullum Invitational held here at the Wood Ranch Golf Club Monday.

Utah State currently sits in 12th place in the 13-team field with a 31-over 607 (305-302). Long Beach State has a two shot lead after the first two rounds with a 9-under 567 (283-284), while Denver’s C.J. Kim sits atop the individual leaderboard after rounds of 64 and 74 for a 6-under 138.

Godderidge, a senior from Smithfield, Utah began the tournament with a 1-over 73 and then shot a 5-over 77 during his second round, while Jenson, a freshman from Parker, Colo. carded a 4-over 76 during his first 18 holes followed by a 2-over 74 in his second round. Junior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is tied for 59th with a 9-over 153 (80-73), freshman Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) is tied for 69th with an 11-over 155 (77-78), and freshman Andrew Paulson (Sandy, Utah) is 78th with a 14-over 158 (79-79).

Teams will tee off Tuesday in the final round of the Bill Cullum Invitational beginning at 8:30 a.m.
