High school football: Alta celebrates victory over Jordan in ongoing rivalry (video)

Summary

Tied at the half 7 to 7, the last two quarters ended up being a full on battle as Jordan and Alta played for the win in front of a full crowd. Both teams played hard but Alta gave Jordan their first loss for the season winning 21-14.

SOUTH JORDAN — Alta held off a late Jordan charge in front of a packed house Friday night, and held for the for 21-14 victory for their sixth straight victory over the Beetdiggers in the heated rivalry.

The two teams were tied at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter before Jordan pulled ahead in the third with a touchdown, but the Hawks scored 14 straight to win the game.

the only reason this could be considered a rivalry is because it's the Alta A team vs. the Alta B team, not because it's competitive. Alta's won 6 straight and 14 of the last 15 meetings between these two teams. Just because Jordan gets up for the More..
