KANAB — A Texas man died Sunday when his small plane crashed in rough terrain about five miles north of Kanab.
Donald Brewster, 58, of El Paso, was determined to be dead at the scene of the crash, said Kane County sheriff's investigators.
Deputies received a call about an overdue private airplane that was flying from Bryce Canyon to Kanab. The sheriff's office sent a search plane and located the downed aircraft about 7 p.m. Sunday.
No one else was flying in the airplane. The Federal Aviation Administration was alerted and will investigate.
