HERRIMAN — Herriman High's Francis Bernard took awhile to get started but once he did Orem had no answer for his power and speed.

Bernard carried the ball 25 times for 239 yards and three scores in the leading the Mustangs to a come-from-behind 35-32 victory over the Tigers.

Bernard also had 69 receiving yards to give him 308 of Herriman's 534 yards total offense.

Orem's Taylor Camp, who threw for more than 300 yards and four touchdown passes, hooked up with Cole Payne for the first of his four TDs receptions on a 75-yard strike to give the Tigers a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

With good field position starting the second quarter Herriman quarterback Tueni Lepuamanu connected with Bernard on a 40-yard touchdown pass to cut Orem's lead 10-7.

Bernard later scored a 23-yard run and a 1-yard run late in the game, which proved to be the game-winner.

The Tigers missed three PATs and a two-point conversion in the game.

The Mustangs (1-0) are back action Friday when they battle rival Riverton (1-0) at Rice-Eccles Stadium, while the Tigers (0-1) host East (1-0).
